Vestas receives orders from Sweden, Croatia

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received turbine orders from Sweden and Croatia. In Sweden, Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order from BlackRock-managed fund for 14 V126-3.3 MW turbines for a wind project in Småland. The wind power plant Brotorp, which will be developed by Arise Windpower, will have a total capacity of 46.2 megawatts. The 24.6 megawatt Le Granit Wind project has declared commercial operation. The project is a joint-ownership undertaking of EDF EN Canada Inc, a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles Group, and Énergie du Granit Inc., a company wholly owned by the MRC du Granit and 16 of its municipalities. IKEA purchases second U.S. wind farm to provide clean energy to their stores

The IKEA Group has purchased the 165-megawatt Cameron Wind Farm in Cameron County, Texas, from Apex Clean Energy. The Cameron Wind Farm is expected to be fully operational by late 2015. Located in South Texas, near the City of Brownsville, the wind farm will produce enough energy for around 59,000 U.S. homes. Vestas gets order for 100 wind turbines in Minnesota

Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order in Minnesota for 100 wind turbines. The order for wind turbines is for 100 V110-2.0 MW turbines, corresponding to a total of 200 megawatts. It was placed by Odell Wind Farm LLC, a joint venture between Algonquin Power Co. and a third party. Senvion to supply Canadian wind farm with 150 MW-worth of turbines

Wind turbine manufacturer Senvion SE has signed a contract for the delivery of 150 megawatts-worth of wind turbines to a wind farm in Quebec, Canada. Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received firm and unconditional orders from Texas and Poland for a combined total of 276 megawatts-worth of turbines. In the state of Texas, First Wind has placed an order for 100 V100-2.0 MW turbines. Largest wind farm in Southeast Asia goes online in the Philippines

The largest wind farm in Southeast Asia, a 150-megawatt installation in the Philippines, has begun delivering clean power to the grid. Senvion provides U.K. with 43 MW-worth of turbines

Suzlon Group’s subsidiary Senvion SE has signed a contract to supply 43 megawatts-worth of turbines to a wind farm in the United Kingdom. The wind turbines will go to the A’Chruach Wind Farm in Argyll and Bute in Scotland, developed by Infinis Energy plc.
