Vestas Wind Systems A.S. said it received an order for 150 megawatts' worth of wind turbines to an undisclosed customer in the United States. Other details were withheld.
In an online information sheet, Vestas said the order is for the supply and commissioning of wind turbines along with Vestas' Scada wind farm management system. Vestas will also service the turbines for five years. The turbines will be delivered in the second half of this year.
On Monday, Vestas said Italy's Tozzi TRE S.P.A. also placed an order for 28 wind turbines with a combined total capacity of 56 MW.
The turbines will go to the Castellaneta wind farm in Italy's Apulia region. Deliveries will begin in the second quarter.
