Siemens Energy began testing on its 154m rotor offshore wind turbine in Denmark which has the world’s longest rotor blades at 75 m in length each. This turbine can supply clean energy to about 6,000 households in offshore locations. This rotor is expected to be the new benchmark in offshore wind energy and Siemens’ 120m rotor prototype has been running successfully for over a year.
