Cenergy Power will begin constructing a 540-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system at Minturn Huller’s primary facility in Chowchilla, California.Cenergy Power will begin constructing its second photovoltaic project for a premier almond huller and sheller in California this September. Mintum Huller has tapped Cenergy to construct a 540-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system for the huller’s primary hulling facility in Chowchilla, California. The ground-mounted system is the largest distributed solar project in Madera County to date, according to a California Solar Initiative project database. Cenergy has provided Minturn Huller with a project financing structure that would allow the huller to enjoy significant utility savings under the photovoltaic system for the first seven years. Minturn will have an option to buy out the system after that period. Earlier this month, Cenergy was also selected by Pohl & Homles, Inc., another huller and sheller of almonds in California, to construct a 504-kilowatt ground-mounted solar system. The system is expected to be fully operational by mid-November. Cenergy Power provides solar photovoltaic services for the commercial and agricultural markets. A division of BAP Power Corporation, Cenergy has offices in San Diego, Orange County, Merced County and Contra Costa County in California.
